This study aims to examine the acceptance of Electric Vehicles (EVs) among undergraduate students at a university in the Sriracha District, with a particular focus on analyzing the factors influencing their decision to adopt EVs. It also explores students’ attitudes and readiness to transition to electric-powered transportation. The research employed a structured questionnaire as the primary data collection tool, with a statistically randomized sample of university students.
The findings revealed that demographic factors—namely gender, education level, faculty, academic year, area of residence, family structure, and economic status—were moderately associated with EV acceptance. Key influential aspects included students’ attitudes, knowledge, perceived safety, and the availability of charging infrastructure. Furthermore, environmental awareness and perceived cost-efficiency were also found to significantly influence EV adoption.
Based on the results, it is recommended that efforts be made to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of EVs, including the promotion of direct experiences such as EV test drives. Additionally, policy support and incentive programs should be implemented to further motivate the acceptance and widespread adoption of electric vehicles. |
